The video begins highlighting the deep bore cleaning of a 4 cylinder engine block to remove all boring and milling metal shavings and burrs. Then we see the post-casting shell material removal to expose the finished metal casting in subsequent robotic waterjet passes. This material removal process is then followed by the robotic waterjet performing a detailed cleaning process to remove any fine material from the casting to a nearly polished level of detail. With a cycle time of less than 5 total minutes- there is no faster or more efficient manufacturing process than using industrial robotics combined with waterjet technology applications. We then move onto using robot technology to strip paint from a machined metal casting and effortlessly expose all bare metal surfaces and welds for further material processing.
